I’ve made some stickers#
I’ve read a lot of articles, blog posts, writings, etc about the previous editions of PBP. Basically everything I could find online. Every single time, I found lots of mentions about the nice people from Bretagne, people waiting by the side of the road to cheer riders up, to offer hot drinks, water and food for free. And what about the stories of whole families, kids and toddlers included, that put tables with everything you may need at their homes’ doors.
Usually, according to what I’ve read, these people won’t ask for anything in return. Some may ask you to send them a postcard once you are back home.
But, I’ve read in a couple of blogs about this idea of bringing with you something, a token, a small present, something you could give them in exchange that won’t mean exactly to pay for it.
And so, I came up with the idea of making some nice stickers to bring with me. Stickers are lightweight and easy to pack, and it should be a cool thing to give, specially to kids.
After thinking a bit about it, I decided to make them using my cycling club logo (which I’m totally in love with).

Without much time to arrange things, I look for local shops that may be able to have the stickers ready in time. Luckily I found one that said they could be ready in a couple of days. I ordered 100 stickers with a vinyl+polished finish, which according to the shopkeeper should last a lifetime, even sticking them in cars, etc. They costed me 25 euros.
Today I picked them up from the shop, and the result couldn’t be better!

They came in a huuuge sheet of plastic paper which was cut at the shop in a few A4-sized sheets. It was my turn then to cut them one by one and pack them into a small plastic zip bag.

I just hope people will like them!
