PBP Registration confirmed#
Last Saturday (27th May), the ACP opened the procedure to confirm registrations for PBP. As you already know, I’ve been a bit busy during the weekend… but this morning I got a message from Salva (the guy behind the brevets organized by Astorga Randonneurs), he already had done the homologation of the 600.
After finishing the BRM 600 - Santiago Brevet, I’ve fullfilled the requirement of completing the Super Randonneur Series, and now that its homologation was available under my account at the ACP website, I could confirm my registration for PBP.
The procedure is basically to log into your account in the ACP website and fill in a web form. It is the same form I had to fill in for my pre-registration, plus some more fields:
Give the homologation numbers of the brevets that complete your Super Randonneur Series
Answer a few questions (will you have a support vehicle? who would we call in case of accident)
Choose if you want a variety of extra services (like food before departure the first day, parking for your camper van and/or car during PBP, place for sleep the day before departure, etc)
Choose if you want some extra items, like a results brochure or a PBP official jersey (which size and how many you would like), as well as the size of the official PBP vest (this one is included with the registration fee)
Times, basically your departure time for PBP and at which time you will pass on saturday to pick up your “documents” (the package with brevet card, rfid card, vest, jersey, etc).
I left my departure time was it was (20:15 in the 90 hours group) as there were no free slots earlier. And I set the pick up hour on saturday to 16:00 (which is what we decided to set all together, the group of friends that will go there together).
Once you are done with the form, it is time to pay. Depending on the extra items/services you choose, the final amount is different. In my case, I paid 242 euro (190 euro registration cost, 52 euro “extras” - a jersey size M and the results brochure in english). As I had paid already 50 euro when I did my pre-registration back in february, this time I had to pay only 192 euro.
One step closer to achieve this big dream.
