Yes, I’ve finished PBP
Yes, I’ve done it within the 90 hour limit
That was on Wednesday, 23rd of August 2023, just before midnight. After near 51 hours pushing the pedals, 78 hours total time (with stops), since I left Rambouillet on Sunday, 20th of August 2023, around 17:45 (a bit later than that, really).
I’m writing this lines from home, after the long trip that took me back to Lugo, from Rambouillet. A couple of days have passed already and I’m still overwhelmed.
What I’ve lived, felt, enjoyed… during this incredible experience that was riding - and finishing - PBP for the first time. To be part of something like this in the randonneuring world…
Right now trying to put all that in words looks like a very complex task.
Just trust me when I write this: I’m so terribly, incredibly, amazingly happy.
I’ve met so many nice people, I’ve pushed my limits to a new level, I’ve visited some incredibly beautiful places and I’ve enjoyed every single second of it all.
It will take some time, but I promise I’ll write about it all, trying not to forget anything.
